Let’s start positive: independent writers are superstars! They’re businesspeople, entrepreneurs, editors, insomniacs, imagineers, and so much more. They juggle writing and publishing with their real lives and jobs and God knows what else, all to put together a book and push it into the daylight because books are everything.
A labor of love.
But.
If there’s any part of the game where I wish I was stronger, it’s marketing. Books need help to fly off the shelves, yet I have this mental block. I feel like I’m imposing on people and chasing after them to give up their valuable time, so I get wound up to the point of anxiety with five or six marketing plans. Finally I give up, dump the book on Amazon, then wonder why it doesn’t sell.
Does anyone else live like this with their books? Probably not, but here I am.
My latest book is available for pre-order at the overwhelming price of 99 cents, and it will fall into your Amazon library on the Friday the First of July if you are so inclined. To pretty up the deal, three of my books will be totally free Tuesday, June 28 to Thursday, June 30.
Here’s the link to pre-order “Starting Over in Las Vegas.”
Would you like to read a sample chapter? Here you go.
Go tell your friends and loved ones so I don’t have to. Please.
Thank you.
