Episode 174 of our writers’ podcast for writers is all about using nature as a character or background for your work. We’ve all encountered nature on some level of our existence, and it serves as a point of commonality around the world, be it a heavy rainstorm, the sound of the ocean, or a sunny day.

Nature is a convenient tool in our toolbox because we can use it to quickly connect to our readers and, at the same time, use it to create tension and suspense. Think of “the rising flood waters” or “smoking volcano,” and you’ll immediately understand what I’m saying.

We spend some time talking about our social media plan (still in development) and our current projects. Spoiler: we have books coming out in the next year.
