In the last week, we’ve done three book signing events and all were an adventure unto themselves. We talked about the lessons learned here:
June 6: The Sierra Arts Bookfest in Sparks, Nevada was a gathering of local authors who are members of the Sierra Arts Foundation. We spoke to many people, which is the fun part, and we experienced Mother Nature in her full, wind-blown glory. We’re looking forward to next year!
June 12: Bub’s Bookstore in Carson City opened! We were privileged to participate in their ribbon-cutting ceremonies and chat with our fellow authors, notably Jacci Turner (buy her books!). If you’re in the area, please go to Bub’s early and often. We need to support our local bookstores!
June 13: Nevada Pride at the Brewery Arts was hot and fun! We had a booth right in front of the stage, and we enjoyed live music all day. Everyone was happy and smiling and dancing. We’re sticking a pin in this annual event.
Appearances:
– July 10: I’ll be reading “Sheriff” to the residents at Atria Summit Ridge.
– July 11: We’ll be on a writers panel at Hollow and Quill in Reno, Nevada.
– July 18: We may be back at the Reno Public Market.
– July 19: CC will be reading to the residents at Atria Summit Ridge.
– September 19: We may be at Reno Pagan Pride Project at Idlewild Park.
– August 25: CC will be doing an author talk at the Churchill County Library.
– September 20: We may be at the Carson City Airport Aviation Festival.
– October: many events. More information as we get closer.
Manuscript Status:
– CC is also digging into Battle Born Bride. She talks about fast-drafting it.
– The sequel to Finding Salvation is with me. Release date is July 24.
